If you were to write a paper on the Red Scare of the 1920s, on which person might you focus your thesis?

I would probably write about the second of the Red Scare.  The McCarthy would be my subject.  Senator Joe McCarthy used extreme measures to root out communism and he destroyed many lives as a result.  His methods ran counter to what America was all about.  There was no benefit of the doubt and those accused had their lives destroyed.
