Most of the poem "An Hymn to the Evening" concerns itself with giving praise to God for any personal virtue we have acquired. Its Christian message is not considered neoclassical and the model to which all other pastoral poetry should aspire. Hope this helps.

The time is the late 1700s, better referred to as the Revolutionary period. The writings of Phillis Wheatley are influenced by the morality of slavery and the hard times faced in the revolution, and afterwards when the government was slowly being formed. Phillis wrote this to describe the beauty of the evening, the amazing phenomenon that occurs and the earth. Phillis uses several techniques to make the poem exceptional. For instance, she uses a definite scheme "soon as the sun forsook the eastern main". The poem uses very unfamiliar words to most people of this time. Zephyr - a west wind. This is used to describe how the wind is personified as a bird carrying that scent of spring with it. This use of imagery is normal but the language shows that the time is different. In addition the literature has many places that no longer resemble what is in the poem.

What does blithe mean in “i hear america singing”?
photoshop1234 [79]

Answer:

it presents a vision of America as a harmonious community. Moving from the city to the country, and the land to the sea, the poem envisions America as a place where people do honest, meaningful, and satisfying work—and celebrate that work in song. America emerges from the work of these many and diverse individual people: their separate work comes together to form a coherent whole. In this way, in the poem's account, America is a nation where individuality and unity are balanced, each producing and reinforcing the other.

Select the correct answer.
shtirl [24]

Answer:

stage directions

Explanation:

Out of these options, the only characteristic that appears in plays but does not appear in novels are stage directions. Stage directions are instructions that allow a director to present the play in a theatre in the way in which the author originally envisioned it. This includes guidance in terms of background, movements, facial expressions, setting, etc. As novels are not generally intended to be performed, stage directions are not necessary.

Hope this helps
