The correct answer is A) The lack of interest from state and local governments.

The Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Project has not yet produced the expected results because of the lack of interest from state and local governments.

The Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Project was passed by the government in 2000. The main goals of the plan were to improve 2.4 million acres of the ecosystem in South Florida, restore areas of the Everglades National Park, to improve Lake Okeechobee, and enhance and improve the water supply in the area. The plan has not yet produced the desired results because of the lack of interest from state and local governments.
