A and C are the correct answers.

Eisenhower laid out his belief in the 1950s that if one country fell to communism, other countries around that country would fall to communism as well.

Eisenhower supported Diem in So. Vietnam then because he didn't want Chi Minh, Vietnam's communist leader, to take control causing communism to spread further through Southeast Asia.

The correct answers are A) He was afraid that Diem's defeat would cause communism to spread to other parts of Asia. and C) he did not want Chi Minh, a communist, to gain control of South Vietnam.

The two reasons why US president Dwight Eisenhower provided full support to the leader Ngo Dinh Diem in South Vietnam were the following: He was afraid that Diem's defeat would cause communism to spread to other parts of Asia. and he did not want Chi Minh, a communist, to gain control of South Vietnam.

Why was it not easy to exploit britain’s coal resources?
natima [27]
Britain had a lot of coal resources which helped them enormously develop and actually made it possible to some extent for Industrial Revolution to happen. But to mine coal was not an easy process. Coal was located deep underground and one the major problems was how to pump the water out of the mines.  Only after the use of the steam pump did the process become somewhat easier.
