I started out with a proportion like you had, 24/16=20/x and I got 13.333. So I found the area of the big rhombus and set it equal to the smaller one. 24*20=16*x -->  480=16x and then x=30

How do you factorise 2k + 10ak
wolverine [178]

Hii!

____________________________________________________________

\rightsquigarrow\circ\boldsymbol{Answer}\circ\leftharpoonup

2k(1+5a) <em>or </em>2k(5a+1)

\rightsquigarrow\circ\boldsymbol{Explanation.}\circ\leftharpoonup

First of all, let's find the common term of this binomial (an expression with two terms; the prefix bi- means "two")

Note that both terms have 2k in them. So, we factor it out.

\twoheadrightarrow\sf 2k\div2k+10ak\div2k

\bullet <em>Simplify</em>

<em />\twoheadrightarrow\sf 1+5a

\bullet <em>2k can't just vanish into thin air, so we put it outside the parentheses:</em>

<em />\twoheadrightarrow\sf 2k(1+5a)

\bullet <em>Great job! We factored the expression successfully</em>

<em />

Hope that this helped! Best wishes.
