We basically thought everything was fine and good and in turn avoided the war in Europe but still providing aide to our ally, until the Japanese decided to bomb Pearl Harbor in order to make us back off from the war but it back fired majorly, we then created the atomic bomb or nuke and bombed Hiroshima & Nagasaki Japan.
