The plot of Lord of the Flies is very much about survival and how certain roles of groups will emerge any time you have a group of people, no matter where. A leader will always emerge and sometimes more than one which creates conflict. Also, a follower will emerge and they will side with the leader of their choice and follow their actions, even if it goes against what they might believe inside. They might follow out of fear and not just because they admire a leader. Being in a primitive setting shows that this idea of emerging roles will happen no matter what the setting and it has happened all the way back to cave people (similar to this primitive setting). Nobody has an advantage in this setting, being socially more refined, richer, etc. doesn't make one a better leader on an island.
Umm I don’t think anyone could write all that

According to quizlet context clue flashcard answers.
Jimmy Valentine was a violent criminal who had no remorse for his crimes. After retirement, he becomes a sensitive, loving person and regretful of his past.

What causes Jimmy to change?

- He falls in love with a woman.
- He wants to have an honest life so she can be with him.
- He wants to be a good person like her.
Jimmy was a criminal and that got him arrested. After serving his sentence, he was released and went back to committing crimes, as he felt no remorse for disobeying the law. However, when he fell in love with a woman who also loved him, he changed. This made him an honest man, a good and loving person. In addition, he is very ashamed of the past and is afraid that the woman he loves will know that he was once a criminal.
This gives the reader the certainty of how liberating love is, as well as shows how the justice system fails to reform a criminal.
