Early believers of Jesus Christ popularly known as Christians shares some belief with the Pharisees. Common Beliefs such as human freedom, next life retribution and ressurection. According to some historians, they believed that Jesus Christ himself on earth is a Pharisee.

The Sadducees rejected some things accepted by Pharisees such as spirits and ressurection.

The Essenes were not particularly mentioned in the new testament of the Bible. The Essence have ascetic spirituallity. Also, some historians believed that Jesus Christ is an Essene.
