Advantage: there arent any really
disadvantage: you have no where to stay and so you have a lack of security. you wont have  money to but food, drink or warm clothes especially in winter

I don't know if I would call these advantages given the many hardships that come with homelessness, but in lieu of a permanent residence there is no rent or mortgage to pay, no electricity or utility expenses, and no furniture and other expenses related to maintaining an apartment or home. The disadvantages are numerous in comparison. There is an ongoing lack of security, never knowing where you might sleep or rest. Safety is a major issue, as living in shelters and on the streets is very dangerous. It is difficult to obtain a legal I.D. without an address, so applying for assistance is tough. Storing and preparing food is extremely difficult. Maintaining cleanliness - showering, laundry, and so on - is also hard to do when there are not facilities at your disposal.
