  • High teenage pregnancy rates.

The global teenage pregnancy rate is at 46 per 1,000 girls, while the adolescent pregnancy rates in Latin America are estimated at 66.5 births pero 1,000. And although total fertility has declined all over the region in the past 30 years, teenage pregnancy has barely changed in the same period. Moreover, the rate of pregnancy among girls younger than 15 has increased (it is the only region of the world where this pattern is observed).

  • Drug cartels

Although drug consumption in Latin America is still relatively low, the illegal drug trade has been a problem in the region for decades. The United States is the primary destination, with around 25-30% going to Europe. The biggest cartels in the 80s and early 90s were the Colombian ones, while nowadays, the Mexican cartels have become dominant in the region. As a result of the cartels, Latin America has the world's highest crime rates.

Why was the trade route of rum, slaves, and sugar and molasses called the triangular trade? of what did the middle passage consi
stich3 [128]

The trade route of rum, slaves, sugar, and molasses was called the triangular trade as it formed a triangle between America, Africa, and the West Indies. The middle passage consisted of large number of enslaved Africans, who were brought to the Americas as part of the triangular trade.

This system of trade was extremely profitable for the Europeans and was used to transport millions of slaves from Africa to the Americas through the middle passage. The slaves were used to work on plantations and in mines, and many of them died from the harsh conditions.

The triangular trade was eventually abolished in the 19th century, but the legacy of this system of trade continues to impact the world today.

Rhonda is writing a paper on medieval England. She believes that most changes during that era were brought about by large scale
egoroff_w [7]

Since the statements referred by the question weren't given, let's see what the questions make us think about the writing of history.

Using the terms historians use, we say that Rhonda's beliefs follow the idea of a history made from bottom-up.

This is a way of understanding History rooted in two ideas:

I) History, as it happens, is more often than not really made by the majorities, that is, by the people who are the workers in the production of goods and in the social reproduction: be it medieval peasants from the 1400s, be it industrial workers from the 1800s.

II) So it follows that historical research should follow this way of things. If history is made by workers, peasants, merchants, doesn't make sense to write a history book, for example, where the protagonists are kings and nobles. The protagonists of historical researches should be peasants and poor people.

The correct statement will be the one that addresses these ideas.
