In her speech "Ain't I a woman?" Sojourner Truth appeals to the listeners sense of logic. In the second paragraph, she discusses the ideas men have about women. She tells us that men often argue that women need to be helped over ditches, protected, and given the best of everything. However, she questions the validity of this argument by saying that no one ever helped her or gave her the best of everything, even though she is a women.
