And the abolitionist are against slavery and they won so they didn’t try to gain control they would have gained it. B. Abolitionists already have a culture and plantation owners culture is owning slaves. C. Believed that slavery was wrong and were slave owners I don’t think so. Plantation owners are out. Enslaved Africans of course thought it was wrong but you can’t physically or protest against slavery if your a slave.
World War II really forced the issue of America being segregated while at the same time African-American soldiers were dying on behalf of their country.
