How did imperialism during the late 19th century differ in China and in Latin America?

History

Imperialism was different in China and in Latin America, first because Latin American countries were colonies from European Empires such as Portugal and Spain. China was different.

China was a very closed country and they refused to trade their good with other countries they were self-sufficient. This pushed the British Empire to sell opium for silver, this led to the Opium War and with it, the British gained control over Chinese trade and goods. Britain imposed rules to the Chinese and they were prohibited to sell all their goods, this impacted heavily their economy and politics.

On the other way, Latin America was impacted differently by Imperialism, they were colonies of European powers and those powers gained access to all resources that were not available in Europe, such as massive amounts of gold, silver, precious stones, wood, and of course human labor. But after the independence, Latin American countries also had a huge development, cities developed and the population grew.

Most Egyptians do not believe in the afterlife and focused on only life here and now true or false
12345 [234]

The statement is - False.

The Egyptians, from all types of social status, were believing that there are two lives, one is here on the Earth, and the other is up in the sky with the Gods, the afterlife. They took this very seriously, and it was extremely important for them to respect the Gods and how they live in their first life on the Earth, in order to manage to get a better place and respectable place in the afterlife.

In a paragraph of 125+ words, explain why things following World War II were far from "normal," even though people wanted a retu
suter [353]
The war effected many people. Many people died, most resources, if not all, went to the war. After the war, many people wanted to be normal again but could not. The war had effected the economy, people's lives, and some political views. A lot of people had a hard time with getting jobs or money and a lot of families were devastated by the war. Not only normal people were effected, also countries as a whole. The relations between communist countries, such as the Soviet Union, and non-communist countries, such as America, stayed tense. Even until this day, these countries have issues and a third world war is somewhere in the back of our minds'. The Cold War began after World War 2 and it did not end until the late twentieth century.

Instructions:Select the correct answer. How did the invention of the Gutenberg press affect the Renaissance?
Sidana [21]
Prior to the printing press, there were only 30,000 copies of books in Europe and 75% of them were in Latin. The printing press made it possible to print more books in multiple languages which helped increase literacy and education throughout Europe because books were more accessible. The New Testament was also translated into German by Martin Luther. However, the Church did not like the printing press because it made it impossible for them to censor books. This means that authors were able to spread new ideas about science and religion which the Church did not agree with. While the spread of new ideas helped revolutionize society during the Renaissance, it created a lot of controversy with the Church.
