The term comes from italian Camicia Nera as they used black shirts as part of their uniforms. They were the armed squads of fascist Italy ruled by Benito Mussolini. They were initially formed to destroy the political and economic organizations of socialists in 1919. In the end they did that with everyone that opposed Mussolini. Later on, they were transformed into a national militia, the Voluntary Fascist Militia for National Security.

The Bolseviks were members of a wing of the Russian Social-Democratic Worker's Party led by Lenin. They became the dominant political pary and took the power in Russia on October 1917. Their opponents were the Mensheviks.
