The legalization of slavery led to a population that was almost fifty percent enslaved people. This is how the population in Georgia changed after it became a royal colony.

Georgia was the last colony to join the original thirteen.  Prior to become a royal colony in 1752, Georgia was a trustee colony, in other words, it was governed by a board of directors.  When Georgia was a Royal Colony, it was theoricaly administered by the king of England but in practice by a member of his cabinet known at various times as secretary of state for the Southern Department and secretary for America.

Why did Americans begin to distrust private and public institutions (the government) less by the end of the 1960’s?
neonofarm [45]
One of the major reasons why Americans distrusted public institutions like the government was because of the publishing of the Pentagon Papers. This series of government documents that were supposed to be classified, essentially showed that the US federal government had been lying about the progress the US was making in the Vietnam War. These documents caused outrage all over the country, as thousands of American men were drafted into this military conflict for what seemed like a failed mission.
