The correct answer is B) to provide protection from its enemies.

Increasing militarism led European powers to form alliances to provide protection from its enemies.

European nations were not sure to really had the capacity to defend themselves alone with the increasing of militarism and the weaponry of the time. They knew that alone, it could be more difficult to defend in case of a military aggression.

That is why they formed alliances such as the Triple Entente in 1912: France, Great Britain, and Russia. Or the Triple Alliance: Germany, Italy, and Austria-Hungary, in 1882.

A) Direct Democracy

Explanation:

The important part of the question is that all citizens are required to vote (we can understand: in person), as opposed to only some citizens voting (this is the case when the congress votes: only some people vote on laws, and they represent the wider community).

This situation when all people vote personally and are not represented is called a direct democracy.

Do you think mining underground eventually became the most popular method for obtaining salt? explain? (Level 3 )
Inessa05 [86]
Just an assumption, but yes. It’s a crystal, and it forms in deposits. Most crystals are found in the ground or in caves.
I believe that it’s the most popular method for obtaining salt, but it’s also dangerous because of caves collapsing.
It’s probably the best way to go about it also because in other methods they would probably have to develop some type of mechanism that makes it rise and that’s too time consuming. Hope I helped in some way?? Lol
