It kept the church from gaining to much power and the govt from gaining too much power it went both ways to cause neutral power between the two.

The cold war was different from other US wars, because it had multiple wars within the cold war that was fault, & that the US and USSR did not fight each other head on, instead through support. Usually the US fought those that they were attacking head-on instead of just support.

The reason was mostly poverty and disrespect. In Germany the factor that led to the Nazis was poverty and disrespect to their country. Musolini in Italy also rose to power dew to the disrespect of his country because of how little new land the allies gave him.
