1. Mrs. Jones gave Roger a place to clean his face, a bite to eat, and $10 to buy a pair of blue suede shoes. Nonetheless, what

was the most important gift she gave Roger? Use specific examples from the story such as how Roger interacted with Mrs. Jones as the plot progressed, how his motivations changed from the beginning of the story to the end, and what lesson he learned from Mrs. Jones as they interacted at her home. Explain in a short paragraph the gift Roger received that you consider to be the most important.
2. Langston Hughes grew up poor and black during the time of segregation. He and his friends and neighbors longed for material items and a better life like that of some white men they observed. Hughes drew upon his life experiences when he created his works. Do you think Hughes knew someone like Roger or Mrs. Jones? Could he, himself, have been Roger? Could Mrs. Jones have reminded Hughes of his own grandmother? Use specific examples from the story as you think, critically, to explain your answer.

Answer:

This for Roger......a bit to eat

Explanation:

That is more important because he was living on the streets and what if he did't have food to eat and he could starve to death but Mrs. Jones  took him to her house and gave him food even after what he did instead of turning him in to the cops.

WHAT IS THE TOPIC AND SUPPORTING DETAILS IN PARAGRAPHS
AfilCa [17]

Answer:

The topic of the paragraph is presented in sentence number 2, while the supporting details are presented in sequences 5, 6 and 7.

Explanation:

The topic of a paragraph refers to the subject that the paragraph will cover and present to the reader. Generally, this topic is presented right in the first sentences, which allows the reader to recognize, right at the beginning, the subject that will be discussed in the text. The paragraph presented in the question above is an example of this, as the topic is presented in the second sentence, which allows the reader to realize that the subject covered in the paragraph will be about how society is influential in our way of seeing the phases a life.

The supporting details, on the other hand, are the sentences that justify the topic of the text, that is, the supporting details show why this topic is real and relevant to be discussed. In this case, sentences 5, 6 and 7 present evidence of how youth is seen differently in two different societies.
