5- The correct answer is C. Olaudah Equiano and William Bradford wrote narratives of their journey to America.

Olaudah Equiano, also known as Gustavus Vassa (1745- 1797), was an 18th century Nigerian writer and merchant. In his story, Equiano provides details of his native village, Essaka, and the laws and customs of the Igbo people. He describes some of the African communities known when he was forcibly taken to the coast, his journey on a slave ship, the brutality of slavery in the colonies of the West Indies, Virginia and Georgia and the deprivation of civil rights suffered by African people who were liberated in those places.

William Bradford (1590-1657) was an English settler. He was the second governor of the Puritan pilgrims on his arrival in North America (from 1621 to 1656) and first historian of the initial colonization of New England.

6- The correct answer is A. Ambrose Bierce and Edgar Allan Poe share stylistic similarities despite being part of two distinct literary movements, Realism and Romanticism.

According to the text, why is it likely that there is no land covering the North Pole? NO LINK PLEASE
puteri [66]

Okay so, you didn't include a screen shot or anything of what the text is, so I tried my best to answer your question without it.

There may be no land at the North Pole due to the fact that it could just all be ice that's floating atop the Arctic Ocean. Over the past few decades, scientists have discovered that the ice is thinning, therefore the likeliness of land beneath it is not great.

summoned to his presence a thousand hale and light-hearted friends from among the knights and dames of his court,

and with these retired to the deep seclusion of one of his castellated abbeys

Explanation:

The excerpt from "The Masque of the Red Death" best shows Prince Prospero's self-centeredness is option D.

This is because even in the face of a plague that was killing people, Prince Prospero called a feast to celebrate and he was happy that his feast was well attended without caring about their safety, or for that matter, his.
