Spain became very proud of their Catholic heritage and started taking itself too seriously, going as far as to kill people who didn't want to be Catholics and establishing their colonies that were strict about religion and forced people to convert. North America was different because people who reformed the country were able to go to North America and live there as protestants without fear because England was full of wars against protestants and Catholics in the years after Henry VIII separated himself from the pope. That's why today Mexico is still mostly Catholic while NA is mostly Christian Protestant, or any of the branches of Protestantism.

vladimir1956 [14]
Wilson’s 14 points called for Poland’s independence.
This was discussed specifically in Wilson’s 13th point. Besides giving them independence, Wilson wanted to ensure that Poland had freedom of the seas and that they would not have to worry about being taken over by another country. Wilson hoped to develop an international agreement in order to ensure their sovereignty.
