Read the narrative and determine the point of view: "As the teen walked along the beach with his mother, he knew he had to tell

her the verifiable truth. He figured she may never forgive him for his deception, but that she still deserves to know. As he considered this, his mom walked beside him without saying a word. She was aware of her son's actions, and was just waiting for him to act responsibly by admitting it. She kept watching out of the corner of her eye, allowing herself a small smile and enjoying his obvious discomfort." (5 points)

The answer is third-person omniscient. This is a kind of point of view where in there is a method of storytelling in which the narrator knows the opinions and emotional condition of all of the characters in the story. On example is the Scarlet Letter.

What you have learned about happiness, suffering, death and the meaning of life, what piece of advice can you give to the follow
Morgarella [4.7K]

The correct answer is to this open question is the following.

Taking into consideration what I have learned about happiness, suffering, death, and the meaning of life, the piece of advice that I can give to the following people in various situations is the following.

1. Your sister is an overachiever. Being on top of the class is what makes her feel fulfilled. However, she got lower grades than usual for this quarter. She is extremely saddened and discouraged by this and becomes withdrawn and aloof.

Recommendation:

I would tell her that there is more to life than academics. It is ok to have excellent grades, but the important thing is to know what to do with that knowledge. How you practice it and put it to the service of other people. That is what really counts.

So she should start applying all her knowledge in real-life situations. She should open a small business, she could create a small community project, and when she realizes the benefit she is producing to the benefit of many people, she will feel that her life has sense again.

2. Your best friend is dating a married man. Despite her family's disapproval, she does not want to break up with him. She says that he is the only one who makes her very happy.

Recommendation:

This is a tough one because when the heart is involved, it is very difficult to convince using reason or arguments.

But what I would tell her is that she has to be very conscious that he is not going to ask his wife for a divorce. That he is only using her just to have fun and nothing serious is going to result from that relationship. And of course, that one day -sooner or later- it is going to end. My recommendation is that she has to be prepared for that moment.

Is tom Buchanan honestly?
poizon [28]

Answer:

Most definitely! Tom Buchanan is your typical upper class snob. He married Daisy because she was the Golden Girl of the American Dream. He would never ever divorce her because having Daisy assures his status in society. He blatantly indulges in an affair with Myrtle purely for sexual gratification. He has no intention of marrying her and he clearly has no respect for her because he has no qualms in punching her when she takes the name of his wife. He's part of the reason Gatsby is killed because he tells Myrtle's husband that Gatsby was the owner of the car that ran over his wife. He just looks out for his own interests throughout the novel. He doesn't care at all and like Nick Caraway says, both he and Daisy retire to where people like them are rich together, smug and safe behind their wealth and status.
