Langston Hughes is considered a prolific artist because he creates art in many different forms.

Langston Hughes was one of the major writers and thinkers of the Harlem Renaissance, which was the African American artistic movement in the 1920s that celebrated black life and culture. His literary works contributed to shape American literature and politics.

He critisized racism and injustice, and celebrated African American culture, humor, as well as spirituality through his poetry, novels, plays, essays, and children's books. What's more, he promoted equality.
