Answer:

c. software within hardware

Explanation:

The BIOS stands for a basic input/output system and is special system software that interfaces with all the main hardware of the PC with the OS. And it is generally stored in the flash memory chip which can be found on the motherboard, though sometimes the chip can be a kind of ROM. And when we turn on the computer, the BIOS does various important things. And it is not an application software for hardware. It is a system software.

Well, it really depends on who you believe, because i have a lot of friends who say it is Purple Guy, but i have others that say you just play as an unknown character. So, i would go with Purple Guy, but I'm only like 85 percent sure.

AleksandrR [38]

Answer:

#include <iostream>

using namespace std;

int * reverse(int a[],int n)//function to reverse the array.

{

   int i;

   for(i=0;i<n/2;i++)

   {

       int temp=a[i];

       a[i]=a[n-i-1];

       a[n-i-1]=temp;

   }

   return a;//return pointer to the array.

}

int main() {

   int array[50],* arr,N;//declaring three variables.

   cin>>N;//taking input of size..

   if(N>50||N<0)//if size greater than 50 or less than 0 then terminating the program..

   return 0;

   for(int i=0;i<N;i++)

   {

       cin>>array[i];//prompting array elements..

   }

   arr=reverse(array,N);//function call.

   for(int i=0;i<N;i++)

   cout<<arr[i]<<endl;//printing reversed array..

   cout<<endl;

return 0;

}

Output:-

5

4 5 6 7 8

8

7

6

5

4

Explanation:

I have created a function reverse which reverses the array and returns pointer to an array.I have also considered edge cases where the function terminates if the value of the N(size) is greater than 50 or less than 0.

The intention of this problem is to analyze a user input word, and display the letter that it starts with (book → B).
yulyashka [42]

Answer:

Here is the C++ program:

#include<iostream>  // to use input output functions

using namespace std;     //to identify objects like cin cout

void StartChar(string str)  {  // function that takes a word string as parameter and returns the first letter of that word in capital

   int i;

   char c;

   do  //start of do while loop

   {

   for (int i = 0; i < str.length(); i++) {  //iterates through each character of the word str

       if(str.length()>25){  //checks if the length of input word is greater than 25

           cout<<"limit exceeded"; }  //displays this message if a word is more than 25 characters long

      c = str.at(i);   // returns the character at position i

       if (! ( ( c >= 'a' && c <= 'z' ) || ( c >= 'A' && c <= 'Z' ) ) ) {  //checks if the input word is contains characters other than the alphabet

            cout<<str<<" is not a word!"<<endl; break;}  //displays this message if user enters characters other than the alphabet

        if (i == 0) {  //check the first character of the input word

           str[i]=toupper(str[i]);  //converts the first character of the input word to uppercase

           cout<<str<<" starts with letter "<<str[i]<<endl;  }  // prints the letter that the word starts with in capital letter

   }   cout<<"Enter a word: ";  //prompts user to enter a word

      cin>>str;   //reads input word from user

}while(str!="#");   }    //keeps prompting user to enter a word until the user enters #

int main()   //start of the main() function body

{ string str;  //declares a variable to hold a word

cout<<"Enter a word: "; //prompts user to enter a word

cin>>str; //reads input word from user

   StartChar(str); }  //calls function passing the word to it

Explanation:

The program prompts the user to enter a word and then calls StartChar(str) method by passing the word to the function.

The function StartChar() takes that word string as argument.

do while loop starts. The for loop inside do while loop iterates through each character of the word string.

First if condition checks if the length of the input word is greater than 25 using length() method which returns the length of the str. For example user inputs "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa". Then the message limit exceeded is printed on the screen if this if condition evaluates to true.

second if condition checks if the user enters anything except the alphabet character to form a  word. For example user $500. If this condition evaluates to true then the message $500 is not a word! is printed on the screen.

Third if condition checks if the first character of input word, convert that character to capital using toupper() method and prints the first letter of the str word in capital. For example if input word is "Computer" then this prints the message: Computer starts with the letter C in the output screen.

The program keeps prompting the user to enter the word until the user enters a hash # to end the program.

The output of the program is attached.

Please write a complete program to calculate monthly payment given
jasenka [17]

Explanation:

Code with comments:

#include <stdio.h>

#include <math.h>

/* math library is required to use pow() function

First we need to create a function to calculate the Monthly Payment

It would take three inputs Rate, Years, and Principle amount

Then we converted the Rate and Months according to problem statement

pow() function is used to find (1+R)^M

Then finaly this function returns the value of Monthly Payment  */

float MonthlyPay(float R, int M, int P)

{

    R=R/1200;

    M=M*12;

   float po=pow((1+R),M);

   float PayM=(R+(R/(po-1)))*P;

    return PayM;

}

/*  In the main() function we get 3 inputs from the user Years, Rate and Principle amount

then we call the MonthlyPay function and pass it 3 inputs that we got from the user

then we calculated the total Payment by multiplying the Monthly Pay and total number of months

then we calculated the interest Amount by subtracting the Principle Amount from total Pay

Testing is performed and output result is given at the end and also attached in the image   */

int main(void)

{

    float Rate;

    int Year, Amount;

    printf("Enter Years: ");

    scanf("%d",&Year);

    printf("Enter Rate: ");

    scanf("%f",&Rate);

    printf("Enter Principle Amount: ");

    scanf("%d",&Amount);

    float Pay = MonthlyPay(Rate, Year, Amount);

    printf ("Monthly Payment is: %f \n", Pay);

    float totalPay=Pay*Year*12;

    printf ("Total Payment is: %f \n", totalPay);

    float interest=totalPay-Amount;

    printf ("Interest Expense is: %f \n", interest);

    return 0;

}

Output:

Enter Years: 5

Enter Rate: 7

Enter Principle Amount: 12200

Monthly Payment is: 241.572767

Total Payment is: 14494.367188

Interest Expense is: 2294.367188
