Which option best completes the diagram?
oksian1 [2.3K]

The correct answer is C) Free trade allows companies to relocate anywhere on the globe.

A free trade system is beneficial in the system that it allows countries to trade with each other without restrictions. However this system has flaws, especially for the United States. Companies in America have to pay taxes and a mimimum wage according to federal law. In order to avoid these costs, American companies will go where they can buy cheaper land, pay lower wages, and pay less taxes in order to save money. This hurts the US economy, as it results in the less jobs available for American citizens.

Question 7 the bargain of 1877:
stealth61 [152]
E--led to a southerner being named postmaster general.

The Compromise of 1877 came as the 1876 election between Rutherford B. Hayes and Samuel Tilden became heated, violent, and then too close to call. To avoid a drawn out election process, Republicans approached Democrats with a deal--Hayes wins the election, Reconstruction ends in the South, a leading Democrat named in Hayes' cabinet, and approval of federal funding for a railroad line in Texas. Hayes is named president and he follows through with removal of troops from the South and naming a southerner to the cabinet as Postmaster General.

Describe how Plessy v. Ferguson has affected racial segregation.

Racial segregation throughout the country, particularly in the southern states, was attempted to be legalized in the Plessy v. Ferguson case. This case aimed to create public places like colleges, squares, schools, and transportation that were exclusive to blacks and whites. Advocates, however, asserted that areas designated for black people would be equal in quality to areas designated for white people.

Black people endured segregation and ongoing bigotry for years after Plessy v. Ferguson was upheld. They argued that it was a political divide rather than segregation. Only until it was questioned whether racially segregated facilities and services were actually constitutional in Brown v. Board of Education was that ruling become final.
