\sqrt{2}  \times 20 \sqrt{2}

\sqrt{2}  \times  \sqrt{2}  =  \sqrt{4}  \:  = 2

20 \times 2 = 40

therefore \:  \:  \:  \sqrt{2}  \times  \sqrt{800} = 40
