The salinity of ocean water can be determined by measuring the conductivity of the water. The characteristics of water such as salinity, depth, temperature, density can be defined by the instrument called Conductivity Temperature Depth instrument. This instrument is placed in water which is to be measured. As this instrument is lowered into the water it continuously records the conductivity, temperature and depth of the water. The electric current is flowed through the water and as we know salt water is a good conductor of electricity it will pass the current fast. Using this technique oceanographers determine the salinity of water.

Which question can most help a writer revise an argumentative essay?
miss Akunina [59]

Answer:

Do details provide support for the claim?

Explanation:

Your claim is the biggest part of your essay, it sets the tone for what is to be written and the details need to support the claim to back it up, to show the background of the claim. These details need to be precise to the claim because if not, the essay will not nor ever be near considered a good essay and that goes for all essays that have a thesis or claim in general.

Two students decide to repeat the Hershey and Chase experiment with modifications. They decide to label the nitrogen of the DNA,
Ipatiy [6.2K]

Answer:

radioactivity will not be able to tell the difference between the DNA and proteins

Explanation:

It seems that the experiment will fail to show what Hershey and Chase showed because they modify some of the aspects. These modifications will cause changes to the results, the main one being that radioactivity will not be able to tell the difference between the DNA and proteins. This is because Amino Acids are proteins that also contain nitrogen atoms, thus labeling the nitrogen would include all DNA and proteins. This being the main reason why Hershey and Chase decided to label the DNA instead.

-BARSIC- [3]

Answer:

5 bases

Explanation:

If there are 17 amino acids and only 2 bases that can be combined in order to make a codon then:

for 4 bases 4^{2} is 16 and it is not enough combination for all 17 amino acids

for 5 bases 5^{2} is 25 combinations (meaning that more than one codon could code for the same amino acid).
