Topographic maps are a type of map that show the relief of an area using contour lines to highlight elevation changes. Topographic maps have multiple uses from individuals who go hiking and orienteering to higher level uses in the fields of mining or civil engineering. Other fields which use topographical maps are geologists or architects or engineers constructing large scale architectural projects.

Answer : Topographic maps is a type of map which is characterized by large-scale detail and provides quantitative representation of relief, usually using contour lines in it.

The main four uses are given below;

1) Soil Study - Preliminary studies can be done for studying soil by examining the surface of the Earth landmarks and natural study contours.

2) Studying Earth's Surface - For many geographers,this map may be of great help in showing the terrain and other forms of the earth's surface. They can also study the surface orientation and monuments and terrestrial phenomena.

3) Military Purpose - In the military purposes, this map shows the most appropriate way and pathways that can define the quality of the mechanisms used by the enemies.

4) Geomorphological and Geological Studies - The most important application of topographic maps is used in studying geomorphological and geological, as it shows a comprehensive information about the region.

20) What wavelength does the Sun emit most of its radiation at, and what is the name of that radiation region? vi'sible micromet
photoshop1234 [79]

Answer:

Visible light range (between 400 and 800 nm).

Explanation:

The Sun emits a large range of electromagnetic waves, from gamma rays (higher frequencies) to radio waves (lower frequencies), through X-rays, ultraviolet rays, visible light, infrared radiation, microwaves. The peak of the Sun's energy output is actually in the visible light range (between 400 and 800 nm).

In the graph I annexed, you can see a simplified representation of the energy emissions of the Sun versus the wavelengths of those emissions. The y-axis shows the amount of energy emitted at a given wavelength and the x-axis represents different wavelengths of EM radiation. In this graph is observable than the major emission of radiation emitted by the Sun is in the visible range.

I hope you find this information useful and interesting! Good luck!
