<span>"3.The author's last name and page number(s) from the source must appear within the text of the paper" is correct. If the author is mentioned in the text, only the page number needs to be listed after. If not, then the author's last name and page number need to be listed. </span>

MLA (Modern Language Association) is most commonly used style to write papers and cite sources. In-text citations, MLA format follows the author-page method. According to this method, author's last name and the quoted page number must appear in the text. It is also important to add the same reference on Works Cited page. The author's name has to be either in the sentence or in parentheses corresponding to the quotation. It is very important to add the page number in the parentheses.

Which answer best explains how the participle shrieking is used in this sentence?
luda_lava [24]

Answer:

D.) It is used as a verb to describe the main action of the sentence.

Explanation:

Shrieking is a verb because it is an action, it wouldn't be a verb if it was shrieked but in this case it is ending with <em>-ing</em>, therefore the action is taking place at the moment.

Hope this helps and if the explanation is unclear, I apologize.

Pachacha [2.7K]

Answer:

Neither Aunt Layla nor Uncle Dustin were concerned about the storm, so I wasn't worried at all.
