Personally, I've had to do a few of those before, and it's not fun.

I would recommend splitting up the work, if you have some extra time doing some more of it, not loading it all up on the last day.

And if you have any questions, don't just stay confused about it, search it up somewhere or ask it on Brainly.

If the packet has any explanation pages, I would also read those because those are helpful when completing the exercises.

Which statement is a central idea of "Zlateh the Goat"?
horrorfan [7]

Answer:

B. Human beings often need the help of animals in order to survive.

Explanation:

"Zlateh the Goat" is a short story written by Polish-American author Isaac Bashevis Singer.

The story takes place in a Polish village, in the late 19th century, during the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. Reuven, a local furrier, is forced to sell Zlateh, the family goat, because of financial issues. He sends his son Aaron with Zlateh to town to sell Zlateh to the butcher. During the trip, Aaron and Zlateh get caught in a snowstorm. They hide in a haystack covered with snow and spend the next three days there together. The food Aaron had with him quickly runs out and he fears that he may starve to death, but luckily, Zlateh is able to produce milk by eating the hay. By drinking that milk, Aaron survives.

The idea of this story is that people often need the help of animals in order to live, as stated by statement C. All other statements refer to plot points.

givi [52]

The goal of a satire is to criticize or ridicule somebody or something (an action, a situation, a behavior). For that reason, it usually features sharp and mordant ideas. In this excerpt from the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, Huck, the main character, is describing one of his encounters with the severe Miss Watson, his guardian's sister. In it, Miss Watson, who wants Huck to accept religion at all cost, is telling him to pray everyday, and, as a reward, he will get what he asks for. However, Huck, tired of not getting it (hooks for his fish-line), harmlessly asks Miss Watson, to her dismay, to do it for him, since, so he believes, she may be luckier and gets what he has asked for in his prayers. Miss Watson's livid reply and Huck's unaffected comment emphasize the mocking nature of the theme in this excerpt.
