This is because of the idea of iconoclasm. The idea is that it is idolatry to draw paintings or similar things of saints or prophets because you would be praying to a statue or a painting instead of the idea of the spirit and the prophet themselves which is why it is idolatry. It used to be common even in the Christian world.

In 150 to 200 words, assess the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and how it affected Europe.
Natasha_Volkova [10]
Archduke Franz Ferdinand, nephew of Emperor Franz Josef and heir to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, is shot to death along with his wife by a Serbian nationalist in Sarajevo, Bosnia, on this day in 1914. The assassination of Franz-Ferdinand and Sophie set off a rapid chain of events: Austria-Hungary, like many in countries around the world, blamed the Serbian government for the attack and hoped to use the incident as justification for settling the question of Slav nationalism once and for all. As Russia supported Serbia, an Austro-Hungarian declaration of war was delayed until its leaders received assurances from German leader Kaiser Wilhelm that Germany would support their cause in the event of a Russian intervention–which would likely involve Russia’s ally, France, and possibly Britain as well. On July 28, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia, and the tenuous peace between Europe’s great powers collapsed. Within a week, Russia, Belgium, France, Great Britain and Serbia had lined up against Austria-Hungary and Germany, and World War I had begun

In the mid-1300s, John Wycliffe was a. a critic of the Protestant Church b. a reverend in the Protestant Church c.a critic of th
VMariaS [17]

The correct answer is C, but technically D is also correct. John Wycliffe earned his doctorate in divinity at Oxford University and became a professor. He also became a priest, but used this position to speak out against the corruption and the heresy in the Catholic. He openly criticized the pope and the hierarchy of the Catholic church. He is well-known for translating the bible into common English, so people could read it themselves instead of having to rely on the forced interpretation of the church.
