The answer to your question is : The value of y increases by 40 for each increase of 1 by x .

Things you could of looked out for:
A. is wrong because 40 isn't plotted on the x-value
C and D are wrong because there isn't 140 plotted on either.

Hope this helps you!

Thanks for including the graph!

Okay, so -

From examining the graph, we can see that for every minute the number of words increases by 40.

Now, since the x axis (the horizontal thingy kabob at the bottom) is time, and the y axis (the vertical thingy kabob) is the number of words - we can conclude that the answer is B!

Just remember that the value of the y axis is dependent on the value of the x axis. Also, note that x almost always represents time!

Point p’ (1,5) is the image of p (-3,1) under a translation<br><br> khan academy
GarryVolchara [31]

Answer:

<h2>X = \frac{-x}{3}</h2><h2>Y = 5y.</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to find the translation for which, (-3, 1) becomes (1, 5).

-3 will become 1, if it is divided by -3.

Hence, the translation for x axis is X = \frac{-x}{3}.

1 will become 5, when it is multiplied by 5.

Hence, The translation for y axis is Y = 5y.

What mathematical pattern can be seen in a perfect square trinomial and how is the pattern used to factor the trinomi
Shtirlitz [24]
(a ± b)² = a² ± 2ab + b² . . . . . . . (signs match)

The middle term is twice the product of the roots of the other two terms. This tells you the terms of the binomial are the square roots of the end terms.

The sign in the binomial will match the sign of the "2ab" term. The order of terms in the binomial doesn't matter. (a±b)² = (b±a)² when signs match.

Andrew [12]

There are (A) 2.7 bacterias initially.

<h3>What is a function?</h3>
  • A function is an expression that establishes the relationship between the dependent and independent variables.
  • A function from a set X to a set Y allocates exactly one element of Y to each element of X.
  • The set X is known as the function's domain, while the set Y is known as the function's codomain.
  • Originally, functions were the idealization of how a variable quantity depends on another quantity.

To find the number of bacteria:

  • The graph shows that the function follows an exponential curve, and the starting point is at ( 0,2.7 ).
  • The starting number of bacteria is then 2.7.

Therefore, there are (A) 2.7 bacterias initially.
