Enola Gay dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan on the day of August 6, 1945.

Resulting in the drop of the atomic bomb, over 80,000 people were wiped out and more than 35,000 were damaged from the blast. The United States wanted to breach the Japanese on their homeland, due to the fact that U.S. President Harry S. Truman wanted to avoid the war from taking away any more lives.
