Stock was going up and price was going down because farmers were making to much. They were making more faster than stores could sell.

Because only Germany had the resources to bomb Britain, fight U.S. and British navies on the Atlantic, and invade the Soviet Union across a 1,200 mile front. Therefore, despite their ultimate goal being to fight and win a two front war, the Allies agreed to pursue a "Europe first" strategy. Until Hitler was defeated, the Pacific would be a secondary theater of war. </span>
