Fill the 200mL beaker all of the way. Using the water in that beaker, fill and pour out the 30mL twice and the 40mL three times. You should be left with 20mL in the 200mL beaker.

You can fill the 40 ml beaker, then empty it into the 30 ml beaker. you should be left with 10 ml in the beaker, pour this into the 200 ml beaker
repeat this and you should have 20 ml in the 200ml beaker

What is the value of z in the equation 2(4z − 6 − 6) = 170 − 46? 12. 5 15. 5 16. 5 18. 5.
Svetlanka [38]

Answer:

z = 18.5

Step-by-step explanation:

2(4z − 6 − 6) = 170 − 46

2(4z - 12) = 124

8z - 24 = 124

8z = 148

z = 18.5

The length of a rectangular playing field is 8 yards longer than quadruple the width. If the perimeter of the rectangular playin
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

L=4W+8

P=2(L+W)

P=2(5W+8) and P=476

2(5W+8)=476

5W+8=238

5W=230

W=46yds

L=4(46)+8=192yds

So the dimensions are 46X192 yards

A box contains 6 black socks and 4 red socks. What is the probability of picking two black socks from the bag without replacemen
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

9/25

Step-by-step explanation:

Our box contains 10 socks. (6, which are black and 4 which are red)

Probability of picking 1 black sock will be 6/10

Number of ways it can occur / Total number of outcomes.

In this question we pick two socks, one black firstly and another black, in the second turn. When we say AND, it means intersection

P (B₁ ∩ B₂) = 6/10 . 6/10

When the events are independent, the probability of the intersection will be the product of the probabilities,

P (B₁ ∩ B₂) = 36/100 = 9/25
