What do these lines from Anton Chekhov's The Proposal indicate about Lomov’s decision to marry Natalya? LOMOV: If I give myself

time to think, to hesitate, to talk a lot, to look for an ideal, or for real love, then I'll never get married. . . . Brr! . . . It's cold! Natalya Stepanovna is an excellent housekeeper, not bad-looking, well-educated. . . . What more do I want?

Perhaps he is saying that he finds himself not marrying for love, passion, or affection but for convenience, and social pressures. and he believes that if he marries for live he thinks he will never marry. the brr could simply be temperature or it could represent inner turmoil of never finding happiness. he finds he is settling into marriage instead of falling in love. (idk i’ve never read this).
