Shakespeare's sonnet portrays his loved one as an unattractive woman who doesn't look or smell very pleasing; on the other hand, Sidney praises Stella's beauty and loveliness. Shakespeare uses questionable adjectives to describe his love, whereas Sidney used the usual ones found in love poetry.
