We are given with the function f(x) = 3x^3 - x^2 + 4x - 2 and is asked in the problem to determine the maximum number of relative extrema. The relative extrema is determined by differentiating the function and equating to zero. Hence the answer then is 2.

What is the value of p?<br><br> A. 125°<br> B. 45°<br> C. 35°<br> D. 550
Vikki [24]

Answer:

C- 35 °

Step-by-step explanation:

Interior angle adjacent to 90° angle = 90° (supplementary angles of a line segment).

Interior angle adjacent to 125° angle = 55° (supplementary angles of a line segment).

Sum of two interior angles of the triangle = 55+90 = 145°

∠p = 180° - 145° = 35°

Your friend draws the diagram at the right
polet [3.4K]

Answer:

What he did wrong is that he did not flip all of the points. since S is 1 point up, it would then reflect 1 point down. point P is 3 up and the reflection should be 3 down. Q should be 3 down as well and R is 1 down below the x axis. The Y does not move for all of the points.

Hey there! I'm happy to help!

Lines that are parallel have the same slopes because they are increasing or decreasing at the same rate and therefore will never bump into each other.

We see that y=2 has a slope of 0 because there is no x that we can see in the equation. This is just a flat line.

If the line we are looking for is flat; it stays at the same y-value the entire time. We see that  the y-value for this line of ours is -6. Therefore, the answer is C. y=-6.

I hope that this helps! Have a wonderful day!
