7. The function y = 60 - 8x represents the amount y (in dollars) of money you have arter

This function has a couple of restrictions:

  • y can't be less than zero, because when you have no money left you can't buy any more tickets
  • x must be a positive integer, because you can't buy a negative of fractional amount of tickets.

With these constraints in mind, we can explicitly write all the possible (x,y) couples:

\begin{array}{c|c}x&y\\0&60\\1&52\\2&44\\3&36\\4&28\\5&20\\6&12\\7&4\end{array}

Where x is the number of tickets bought and y is the amount of money you're left with. So, if you buy no tickets, you still have all your $60. If you buy 1 ticket you're left with $52. If you buy 2 tickets, you're left with $44, and so on.

This table shows that the domain is the set

D=\{0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7\}

And the range is the set

R = \{60,52,44,36,28,20,12,4\}

And they are both discrete. To graph the function, simply draw all the (x,y) couples on a coordinate grid.

75 POINTS!!! WILL MARK BRAINLIEST!!!<br><br> Find the measure of angle LNM
Harlamova29_29 [7]

<em>m∠LNM = 54°</em>

<u><em>Here is why:</em></u>

In this photo there are two important angles with very important features, a central angle and an inscribed angle.

A central angle is an angle that is in the center of the circle, so angle P is a central angle. The arc that is associated with this angle is going to be the same measure as the central angle. I have labeled this in the photo below as <u>blue</u>.

An inscribed angle is an angle that lies on the circle, so angle N is an inscribed angle. The arc that is associated with this angle will be double the amount of the inscribed angle, or the angle is half of the measure of the arc. I have labeled this in the photo below as <u>red</u>.

Since we know that the central angle is 108°, with what we know about central angles we know that arc LM is going to be 108° as well.

We also know that an inscribed angle is half the amount of the arc so...

108 ÷ 2 = 54

<em><u>m∠LNM = 54°</u></em>

A survey is being planned to determine the mean amount of time corporation executives watch television. A pilot survey indicated
Alja [10]

Answer:  554

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula we use to find the sample size :

n=(\dfrac{z_{\alpha/2}\cdot\sigma}{E})^2

Given : Standard deviation : \sigma=3\ hour

Margin of error : E=one quarter hour = 0.25 hour

Two-tailed , Critical value use for 0.95 degree of confidence:z_{\alpha/2}=1.96

i.e. n=(\dfrac{(1.96)\cdot(3)}{0.25})^2=553.1904\approx554

Hence, the required sample size = 554

i.e. 554 executives should be surveyed.

Last year, a beauty magazine had a total of 2,650 subscribers. This year, after its parent company made some changes, it had 3,2
lilavasa [31]

Answer:

22%

Step-by-step explanation:

Divide 2,650 by 100:

2,650/100=26.5

Then divide 3233 by the dividend:

122=122%

Now you can see that there is a 22% percent increase over 100%, theefore making our answer 22%.

Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

$37.35

Step-by-step explanation:

You find the sales tax by turning 3.65% to 0.0375. Then you multiply that by 36. Then you will get 1.35. You add 1.35 to 36 and get your answer of $37.35.
