According to the essay, "the monster" is created B. From a culture's concept of fear. This is because each culture has their own fears, desires, anxieties and fantasies. These fears are ever changing depending on culture and time period, but the monsters stay the same from generation to generation, and we can also create new ones.

How do I want to be good in English and history and biology I am just grade five
zmey [24]

Answer:

There are a number of things you can do to excel in these subjects.

Explanation:

It is great that you want to become better in your subjects. You can become better in these subjects by studying. No one wants to hear it, but it helps tremendously. But that's not the only thing that can help.

History: I never loved History. In fact, I hated it. In 6th grade, you will start to get out of American history and go into World History, starting from the beginning of time. I always preferred US History. But the truth is, everyone is different. And you don't have to wait until you get to middle school to start learning the content. If you want to get better at the content you're studying now, I would urge you to research it more and delve into it. Actually know what you're learning.

Biology: I would strongly suggest you try out BrainPOP! You've probably already heard of it, maybe even used it in class before, but the content is so helpful! They have such a wide range of topics! Here is the link to the science BrainPOP videos.

Heredity was always my favorite, and it still is. You'll probably be learning heredity later this year, and you will again in 7th grade. Try filling out some Punnett Squares.

English: There are a number of things you can do to get better at this subject. Try learning at least one new word a day. Just one. And maybe, if you want a challenge, the next week, do two, and the next three and so on. You can keep a journal to improve your writing skills. Familiarize yourself with English grammar. Learn the writing rules. That's the amazing thing about English. It never gets "old." You can still learn more. Our language is changing every single day.

Good Luck!

What are the potential advantages and disadvantages explored in the text regarding equipping machines with a sense of morality?
Flauer [41]

Answer:

The potential advantages explored in the text, regarding equipping machines with a sense of morality are that they can be an asset to humans by being able to complete tasks and make wise, split-second life and death decisions; such as, when not to clear buildings with civilians in them during war situations. Paragraph 8 states that Ronald Arkin, a computer science professor and robotics expert at Georgia Tech, has been developing software, referred to as an “ethical governor”, which would make machines capable of deciding when it’s appropriate to fire and when it’s not. Another advantage, as stated in Paragraph 9, is that machines will not be vulnerable to the emotional trauma of combat or to the desire for revenge. It will be free of emotions and emotional ties to other individuals and/or machines.

The potential disadvantages explored in the text, regarding equipping machines with a sense of morality are that they could be a serious threat to human safety; especially since their moral compass will be based on that of a human’s. That, within itself, leaves a lot to be desired. In Paragraph 19, it states that human ethics are a work-in-progress, and we still confront situations for which we don’t have well-developed codes. The text also mentioned in Paragraph 9 that machines could evolve and get rid of us.
