The answer is:

In Germany people were angry due to their hard punishment.

Explanation:

After the end of World War I, in 1919 the Allies (mainly France, Great Britain, United States and Italy) met in Paris for the Paris Peace Conference to decide the punishment of Germany and the rest of the Central Powers.

After long negotiations and different points of view, the Treaty of Versailles between Germany and the Allies was made to officially end WWI. Under the Treaty of Versailles, Germany was hardly punished and was forced to pay expensive damages created by the war because Germany was found responsible for it. Germany was also forced to disarm and give up territory to France. This made German people angry during the peace process.
