The rainy season is the time of year around when most of a region's average annual rainfall occurs. Generally the season lasts about a month or more. Some people call it the 'green seasons' but that was an euphemism by all of the tourist authorities I would say. The areas with the rainy seasons are also dispersed across portions of the tropics and subtropics.
When the rainy season occurs during a warm season like something that is summer, precipitation begins to fall towards the late afternoon. In the rainy season, air quality improves and does much more leading to crop yields late in the season.
