To use a scale factor just means to simply multiply is by the number. If the scale factor is greater than one, the object gets bigger. If the scale factor is less than one, it gets smaller.
Since the scale factor in the problem is 2.5, the image is going to get bigger.
You multiply both 5 and 8 by 2.5, so 5*2.5= 12.5 and 8*2.5= 20.

So the final measurements will be 12.5 inches tall by 20 inches wide.

I hope that helps!

There are 3 consecutive integers. Four times the smallest integer is equal to six more than three times the largest integer. Wha
Aliun [14]

Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the smallest integer equal x - 1, the next one equal x, and the last one equal x + 1.

4(x-1) = 3(x-1) + 6

x-1 = 5

x = 6

The smallest integer is x - 1, which is equal to 5. Thus, the smallest of the three integers is 5.

In April 2008, an audio CD was available for $14.01. the list price (full price) of the CD was $19.32. What was the percent disc
8_murik_8 [283]
19.30 - ( p / 100 )*19.32 = 14.01 ;
19.30( 1 - p/100 ) = 14.01 ;
1 - p/100 = 14.01 / 19.30
1 - p / 100 = 0.72 ;
p/100 = 1 - 72 / 100 ;
p/100 = 28 / 100 ;
p = 28 ;
The percent discount is 28% ;
