Why did many Europeans face persecution in the 16th century
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

because they did not follow the beliefs of the established Church

Explanation:

It was widely documented that many Europeans were faced with persecution in the 16th century mainly because they did not follow the beliefs of the established Church

During this period, the ruler which is the king or queen determines the religion and mode of worship for the people living under him or her in that society or country. However, some Europeans do not want to follow the mode of worship and beliefs presented to them, such as Puritans and Pilgrims. Hence, they were persecuted which made many of them migrate to North America.

This was the contrary system of Mercantilism. He was a heavy critic of this system because of economic protectionism in which tariffs, trade regulations, and other legal barriers only were applied to merchants and manufacturer to further their own economic interests on the expense of the mass of consumers who would have to pay higher prices for commodities.
