Area of the circle can be calculated using the following rule:
area = pi*(radius)^2

For the first circle:
We are given that:
area = 1040.9 square units ....> I

For the second circle:
We are given that:
radius = 27 units
Therefore:
area = pi * (27)^2 = 2290.221044 square units ....> II

For the third circle:
We are given that:
circumference = 87.92 units
Therefore:
circumference = 2*pi*radius = 87.92
radius = 13.99 units
area = pi*(13.99)^2 = 615.12799 square units ...> III

For the fourth circle:
We are given that:
diameter = 19 units
Therefore:
radius = 19/2 = 9.5 units
area = pi*(9.5)^2 = 283.528 square units ....> IV

Based on the above, the order according to increasing area would be:
IV , III , I , II

hope this helps :)

You won a free ticket to see the latest Star Wars movie this Friday night (which you can costlessly resell for its face value of
Bogdan [553]

Answer:

The opportunity cost of going to see the Star Wars movie on Friday is $35.

Step-by-step explanation:

You won a free ticket to see the latest Star Wars movie this Friday night with a face value of $15.

Tickets to see your favorite band cost $30, and on any given day, you would be willing to pay as much as $50 for a ticket.

So, the opportunity cost of going to see the Star Wars movie on Friday =

50+15-30=35 dollars

Drag and drop an answer to each box to correctly complete the explanation for deriving the formula for the volume of a sphere
denis-greek [22]

The answers that would fill in the blanks are

 • 2r
 • a circle
 • an annulus
 • 1/3πr³
 • 4/3πr³

What is the Cavalier's principle?

This principle states that if two solids are of equal altitude then the sections that the planes would make would have to be parallel and also be at the same distances from their bases which are equal such that the volumes of the solids would be equal.

Now we have to fill in the blanks with the solution.

For every corresponding pair of cross sections, the area of the cross section of a sphere with radius r is equal to the area of the cross section of a cylinder with radius r and height 2r minus the volume of two cones, each with a radius and height of r. A cross section of the sphere is a circle base of cylinder, is and a cross section of the cylinder minus the cones, taken parallel to the base of cylinder, is an annulus_ .The volume of the cylinder with radius r and height 2r is 2πr³, and the volume of each cone with radius r and height r is 1/3πr³. So the volume of the cylinder minus the two cones is 4/3πr³. Therefore, the volume of the sphere is by Cavalieri's principle
