Answer:

I would say that the men in the passage are <em>minor</em> characters. <u>The correct answer is the last one.</u>

Explanation:

Minor characters in a story are the ones that do stuff that contributes to the plot, but are not the main characters, the plot doesn't resolve around them or their story. In this case, the men in the ship "<em>scrambled to their places by the rowlocks and all in line dipped oars in the gray sea</em>" and that description helps the writer tells the story, or a part of it, but it is not the main event.

Do minors usually marry when they have an "accident" with their boyfriend or girlfriend in bed?
kramer
If you are referring to a girl getting pregnant or a couple having sex than in some cases a unexpected pregnacy can thrust the pressure of marriage upon minors. But way less today than in the past.

Can someone help write this??
Flura [38]

Explanation:

Chapter 1. Introduction to Academic Writing

1.1 Post-Secondary Reading and Writing

Learning Objectives

Understand the expectations for reading and writing assignments in post-secondary (university, college, institute) courses

Understand and apply general strategies to complete post-secondary-level reading assignments efficiently and effectively

Recognize specific types of writing assignments frequently included in post-secondary courses

Understand and apply general strategies for managing post-secondary-level writing assignments

Determine specific reading and writing strategies that work best for you individually

In a post-secondary environment, academic expectations change from what you may have experienced in high school. The quantity of work you are expected to do is increased. When instructors expect you to read pages upon pages or study hours and hours for one particular course, managing your workload can be challenging. This chapter includes strategies for studying efficiently and managing your time.

The quality of the work you do also changes. It is not enough to understand course material and summarize it on an exam. You will also be expected to seriously engage with new ideas by reflecting on them, analyzing them, critiquing them, making connections, drawing conclusions, or finding new ways of thinking about a given subject. Educationally, you are moving into deeper waters. A good introductory writing course will help you swim.

Table 1.1: High School versus Post-Secondary Assignments summarizes some of the other major differences between high school and university assignments.

Lines 53–64: What are two things that the omniscient narrator knows and tells the readers that Ben Rogers does not know? What ef
mariarad [96]

Answer:

Tom notices Ben's presence, even though he denies it. Also, Tom considers painting the fence to be work, even if he does not let Ben know this. This creates the effect of dramatic irony.

Explanation:

In this scene, Tom was given the task of painting a fence. He dislikes this work and prefers to play, but is forced to do it because his aunt told him to. When Ben Rogers notices, he tries to make fun of Tom.

First, Tom pretends not to notice him, even though the reader knows that this is not the case. Afterwards, Tom acts as if the task he was given was a difficult one that gives him a lot of pride. This is also not the case, as the reader knows. This convinces Ben of trying to paint the fence as well. The effect created by this scene is one of dramatic irony, as the reader has information that the characters do not have access to.
