Some of the events that occur at different places on earth are earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, hurricanes and so on and the conditions under which these processes occur must be known to all. It provides an idea of how to be away from such destructive processes.

Thus, geology is a very important subject and one must have basic knowledge about it.
