Answer:

Americans remember Robert Fulton for building a steamboat.

Explanation:

Robert Fulton was an American engineer, entrepreneur and inventor, known for developing the first steamboat, which became a commercial success.

In 1807, with his steam-powered ship called Clermont, he made a 400-kilometer journey along the Hudson River, from New York to Albany. Without being the inventor of steam navigation, Fulton gave it the final boost by making it functional and economically viable. Previously, in 1800, he had designed the first propeller submarine, the Nautilus.

How did technology, logistics, and communication allow the North to defeat the South?
Alexeev081 [22]

Answer:

It enabled them to wage a modern war

Explanation:

The Northern states supplied the military with all the means necessary to wage a modern war, producing large quantities of ammunition and other supplies, and in doing so financing the war with its industrial capacity. The Midwest supplied the Union with soldiers, food, horses as well as financially. Military hospitals were located throughout the territory of the Union.

The national banking system was reformed during this period, and prosperity was stimulated by heavy spending by the federal government. Union countries have invested a great deal of money and effort in psychological and social support for soldiers, their wives, widows and orphans.
