Mathematics

Answer:

See below.

Step-by-step explanation:

If the exponent is a/b  then a is the power and b is the value of the radical.

Example:   x^2/3  =   ∛x².    2 is the power and 3 is the radical.

Answers:

1)  7^2/3 =  ∛7²

5)  √3 = 3^1/2

9)  (∛27)⁴ = 27^4/3 =  3^4 = 81.

This one is easy if you remember that

\sqrt{5}  =  {5}^{ \frac{1}{2} } \\    \sqrt[3]{5}  =  {5}^{ \frac{1}{3} } \\  \sqrt[4]{5}  =  {5}^{ \frac{1}{4} } \\  \sqrt[5]{5}  =  {5}^{ \frac{1}{5} }

It keeps going. The bottom number in an exponential is the one on the outside of the radical.

To remember this:

The top number in the exponential is top dog, he get to go inside the radical.

The bottom number is not top dog, so he has to be outside the radical.

\sqrt[3]{{5}^{7} }  =  {5}^{ \frac{7}{5} } \\  \sqrt[9]{{5}^{4} }  =  {5}^{ \frac{4}{9} }

So for problem 4)

{(32x)}^{ \frac{1}{2} }  =  \sqrt{32x}

Because 1/2 is the expo form of a normal square root radical.

Problem 3)

{(2x)}^{ \frac{5}{6} }  =  \sqrt[6]{ {2x}^{ 5 } }

I should say

\sqrt{5}  =  \sqrt[2]{5}

However, the 2 is Normally never stated. You only plave a number on the front of the radical if it is larger than 2. Normally.

Additionally: it technically looks like this, but both the 2 and the 1 are not normally written. Because 5^1 = 5

{5}^{ \frac{1}{2} }  =  \sqrt[2]{ {5}^{1} }

Remember on your expo to radical, if its

{(\sqrt[3]{5} )}^{ \frac{8}{6} }  =  {5}^{ \frac{1}{3}  \times  \frac{8}{6} }  =  {5}^{ \frac{4}{9} }  =  \sqrt[9]{ {5}^{4} }

Because when you have an exponant raised to an exponant with the same base number, just multiply them and keep the base, like the above example.

Agata [3.3K]

Answer:

So the expression would be P = 2L + 2w

Tho that's about all I know, you could try plugging in 5.5 for L and w so then it would be <em>P = 2(5.5) + 2(5.5^2)</em> But I'm not too sure, sorry about that.

What are the missing angles?
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Answer:

Adding the 2 known angles: 60° + 100° = 160° We subtract this from 180°. 180° – 160° = 20°. Our missing angle is 20°. To find a missing angle in a triangle we subtract the two known angles from 180°.

Amiraneli [1.4K]

Answer:

12 months

Step-by-step explanation:

Theres an awful amount of needless information to get through.

Only the last paragrph is needed.

C(t) = 180 + 10t

C(t) = 25t

Set the equations equal

25t = 180 + 10t

Subtract 10t from both sides

15t = 180

Divide both sides by 15

t = 12

Slope intercept of (1,1) and (0,7)
Sonja [21]

Answer:

\boxed {m = -6}

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the <u>Slope Formula</u> to help you determine the slope of the following two points:

m = \frac{y_{2} - y_{1}}{x_{2} - x_{1}}

(Where (x_{1}, y_{1}) is the first point and (x_{2}, y_{2}) is the second point)

-Apply both points onto that formula:

(x_{1}, y_{1}) = (1, 1)

(x_{2}, y_{2}) = (0, 7)

m = \frac{7 - 1}{0 - 1}

-Solve:

m = \frac{7 - 1}{0 - 1}

m = \frac{6}{-1}

\boxed {m = -6}
