George Whitefield was one of the most important men from the period of the American colonies. Religion was very important during that time period when the colonies expanded and he played a very big role expansion.

He became a preacher and went on a long preaching trip. His style of preaching drew in people which spread the message of the gospel.

His messages was about the idea of the new birth that us people must be born again to become christ's followers. His words became a significant par of the first part of the First Great Awakening, which swept through the colonies in the mid 1700s as a religious revival that led to changes that would have consequences.

It was difficult for women to get rights especially for voting because men were often viewed as superior against women and smarter. Often times in the past women weren't even allowed to go to school after a while. It is still that way in some countries. This probably didn't help much but if I could get the passage I could be more helpful.
