Answer:

The best definition for figurative language is letter B. language not meant to be taken literally.

Explanation:

Using figurative language means that an author employs words in a different way so that they are given meanings that are not the literal and obvious meanings they usually carry. Several literary devices can be used to develop figurative language, some of the most common being metaphors, similes, hyperboles etc. For instance, when an author uses the metaphor "your eyes are stars," he does not literally mean that someone's eyes are gigantic gaseous heavenly bodies that produce light through nuclear fusion. He wants to attribute a characteristic of the stars to that person's eyes. Stars produce light, they are bright. What the author means is that person's eyes are bright, just like stars are bright.

Answer:

Two rivals in a debate club argue about whether the goverment is taking the right actions on policies. They are here for a grand prize LOL of 1 0000000 dollars. 1st rival wold say are govermnets doing enough for the policies? 2nd rival says yes we are taking action on climate change and other things. !st rival what about this "Majorities of Americans say the federal government is doing too little to protect key aspects of the environment including water (69%) and air quality (64%). And two-thirds of Americans (67%) say the government is doing too little to reduce the effects of climate change. These findings come after a year of change in climate and energy regulatory policies under the Trump administration.

Majorities of U.S. adults say federal government is not doing enough to protect environment in these waysAt the same time, Americans are closely divided (52% to 48%) over whether or not it is possible to cut back on regulations while still effectively protecting air and water quality. There are wide political divides on this issue, with roughly three-quarters of Republicans (74%, including independents who lean Republican) convinced this is possible but 64% of Democrats (including Democratic-leaning independents) convinced it is not possible"
